Our Story
Bell Bastien (formally known as One Up Duo is a nu-disco duo of husbands Jerome Bell-Bastien and Adam Bell-Bastien. Based in Detroit, MI, Bell Bastien originally formed in New York City in 2018 where they were immersed in the city’s dance music culture performing in nightclubs, theaters, and exclusive private events before having a short stint on NBC’s The Voice. In 2020, Bell Bastien signed with Total Freedom Recordings to release their single TRN IT UP which was praised and remixed by Grammy-nominated StoneBridge and DJ Lil’ Joey were met with critical acclaim.
Bell Bastien is dedicated to using their voices to bring attention to societal struggles all while delivering danceable grooves and catchy hooks. As an interracial gay married couple living in Detroit, Adam and Jerome has an inspired perspective on the world and how people can achieve a greater sense of love and unity. From singles N’EAUX to the duo’s holiday anthem Let Me Come Home, fans are treated to melodies as strong as the messages they contain.
